MONDAYS WITH MORT
MY PET PEEVES ABOUT JUDAISM
1. Experienced shulgoers who either look down on those who
don’t go regularly, or at all, and/or make them feel uncomfortable about their lack of knowledge of
religious practices and observances.
2. People who complain that synagogues charge for High Holy Day tickets yet
don’t belong to a shul and help support it during the year. I don’t know of any
synagogue that will turn away people that are in financial need..
3. Pulpit Rabbi’s who don’t believe in G-d and who say that episodes in the
Torah are untrue. Such Rabbi’s should not have pulpits but should hold other
positions.
